Beliefs
We Believe…
That There Is Only One God
There is only one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All are co-equal and co-eternal. (Matthew 28:19, Mark 12:29, 1 John 5:7)
In the Deity of Jesus Christ
His virgin birth, His sinless life, His vicarious atoning death, bodily resurrection, and ascension. (Isaiah 7:14, Luke 24:51, Acts 1:9, Romans 4:25, 8:34, 1 Corinthians 15:3,4)
That the Bible Is the Word of God
The Bible is the inspired, infallible, and revealed Word of God. (2 Timothy 3:15-17, 1 Peter 1:23-25, Hebrews 4:12)
In Salvation
Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross, Jesus Christ became sin and sickness, providing both salvation and healing for all mankind (Psalm 103:3). Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ and not by human works, however, our works are evidence of our faith, and will determine our rewards in eternity (Acts 16:3, Romans 10:9,10, 14:10-12, 2 Corinthians 5:10, Ephesians 2:8&9, Titus 3:5-7, James 2:18). This salvation comes by believing in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, and confessing with your mouth, that Jesus is Lord (Romans 3:24, 10:8-10, Ephesians 2:8).
In the Baptism of the Holy Spirit
With the initial evidence of speaking with other tongues, the endowment of power for life and service comes with the Baptism with the Holy Ghost. This experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the New Birth. (Acts 1:8, 2:4, 10:44-46, 19:2,6)
In the Gifts of the Spirit
The Gifts of the Spirit are supernatural abilities given by God to believers so they can minister effectively and miraculously. (1 Corinthians 12)
In Heaven and Hell
We believe in heaven and hell and final judgement. There will be a resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation. (Matthew 25:41, John 5:28,29, Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 20:11-15, 21:1, 22:14,15)
In the Second Coming
The true Church is not merely an organization, but a fellowship (Body of Christ) with a mission to evangelize the world (Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 5:20). The second coming of Jesus Christ. (Luke 21:27, John 14:1-3, Acts 1:11, Revelation 19:10-16)
In the Body of Christ
The true Church is not merely an organization, but a fellowship (Body of Christ) with a mission to evangelize the world. (Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 5:20)
In Communion
Together as a church, we celebrate our Lord’s Supper, by eating of the bread and drinking of the cup, as a remembrance of Jesus. (1 Corinthians 11:23-30)
In Water Baptism
Water Baptism by immersion, which is the believer’s identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection is a command of our Lord Jesus Christ, (Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:3&4).
