As we walk in reconciliation with one another in the Body of Christ, we inadvertently obey God’s command to live life as people who will be judged by the law of freedom. If we are going to be judged by the law of freedom, then it is imperative that we talk and act it out towards other people. It would be extremely hypocritical to judge others harshly when they do wrong, but then expect leniency when we make mistakes. The law of freedom dictates that we treat others in a way that doesn’t keep them bound for their wrongs, but rather sets them free, just as we have been set free. God has forgiven me by the law of freedom, and now I am obligated to reciprocate that same freedom.

So let’s be done with offences, grudges, and harsh judgments. If you are resentful against someone, you are basically keeping them in bondage by your judgment. Instead of railing at people, being angry and offended, and sharing it with everyone, why don’t we offer them mercy? After all, haven’t we all made mistakes?
